Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on 08/01/2026.

We at The Thatch are working to make our site www.visitthethatch.co.uk accessible to people with disabilities.

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

We have adapted this site in accordance with WCAG 2.0  guidelines, and have made the site accessible to the level of at least A. This site's contents have been adapted to work with assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard use. As part of this effort, we have also:

  • Set the language of the site

  • Used the accessibility Wizard

  • Connected Tabnav Accessibility Widget

  • Set the content order of the site’s pages

  • Defined clear heading structures on all of the site’s pages

  • Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible

Accessibility arrangements in the organization [only add if relevant]

At The Thatch, we are committed to ensuring that all guests can enjoy our dining experience. Our main entrance features a portable ramped access for wheelchair users and guests with mobility needs. Inside, we have thoughtfully designed our dining area to allow for ease of movement, with ample space between tables to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers. Should you require assistance, our staff is trained to help with any accessibility-related requests. If you have specific questions about our accessibility features or need to make special arrangements before your visit, please don't hesitate to contact us at 01949842330 or TheThatchbottesford@gmail.com.
